Do you limit yourself? Do you second guess yourself or talk on yourself to yourself? Do you watch others living their lives and think, "I wish I was them." Do you criticize yourself for every little thing? Do you treat yourself as "average" or even below? Do you come up with great ideas but then tell yourself that it can not be done or that you can not do it? Do you get disappointed with yourself when you have not completed something that you had already talked yourself out of doing? Do you come up with great ideas or creations but allow your own negative thinking to down play just how wonderful that idea or creation is? If you answered yes then you, just like me have been limiting yourself. You have been stopping your #growth and #development from progressing. I too was a victim of myself but I did not understand what was happening. I assumed that my thoughts were accurate and that whatever my thoughts told me must be true. That was a LIE!
Negative Mind Space
Creating a negative space in our minds towards yourself is very easy. You can fool yourself into thinking that just because you're confident on the also then whatever the inside says must be true as well. You believe what your mind tells you because, after all it is your mind. And you would NEVER believe that your mind is telling you anything wrong. Trusting yourself is a sacred part of your existence or being. You not trusting You is kind of crazy. Your thoughts and feelings are what trigger your moments. These things leave a huge impact on you as a whole. The thoughts that you create are what starts the process of fear and that fear turns into a very real like emotion which turns into an action. Yourself is the only thing that stops you from accomplishing even the smallest of things. You determine whether you want to be happy, sad, successful or fearful. You are the reason for your limits but you can also become #unlimited.
Thoughts are Like Children
"You do not have to believe your thoughts just because they are yours. Your kids are yours but you know when they are lying." -NikkiGhee
No parent wants to believe that the kids they gave birth to are capable of lying to them. Believing that your child has lied to you is an act that takes a chunk of you away. When you think of your kids you think of what you would like for them to be. You think about how sweet they are and how cute they look. You envision them a piece of perfection. Then something happens. You realize that your child is staring you right in the eyes lying to you. Your whole world comes crumbling down. The child that you imagined as a walking angel has now done something that will taint them in your eyes. That child is no longer your perfect being. Your heart is crushed and you are so confused, maybe even in denial. But facts are facts and the fact is that your kid has just lied to you. Kids are just like your mind. They belong to you, they are attached to you but that doesn't mean that they will not lie to you. You don't want to believe that the child you gave birth to would tell a lie but they do. Your mind might belong to you but that doesn't mean that all those thoughts are believable.
Beyond the Lies
After you have come to grips with the internal sabotage that has been going on within then its time to start growing. Growing is going to take place at its own pace. It is not going to happen overnight. You probably wont even realize that #growth is occurring. Once you have revealed to yourself that you have been hindering your very purpose and progress, something inside of you will begin to spark. Something inside of you will burn and cause an overwhelming since of happiness and confusion all in one. You will try to figure out what is happening but it won't be that obvious. The things that you use to enjoy are no longer enjoyable, the people that you use to hang out with are no longer a desire to hang with and your actions will show others a different side of you. You will start to show more #confidence and less tolerance for any type of #negativity. When you change the way that you think you change the way that you were. You change for the better and you become more free and much more content and driven. By changing your thoughts you can create an endless possibly of things for yourself. Your world will become much more meaningful and you will bring much more happiness to yourself and those around you. Changing the way that you think is certainly not an easy task but it does become easier with time.
